Bill Schindler, Ph.D. After teaching high school history, Bill Schindler realized his true passion for teaching rested in outdoor education. He wanted to focus his instruction on topics such as primitive technology, archaeology, and wild edible plants. To pursue this goal, Bill, a professional archaeologist, enrolled in the doctorate program in anthropology and archaeology at Temple University, where he earned his doctorate. He has just accepted a position with Monmouth University, and will continue to teach primitive technology classes to schools across the Delaware Valley. In addition to demonstrations at local schools and organizations, Bill also gives classes in primitive technology. For more information about Bill's dissertation project entitled, "Middle Woodland Procurement, Processing, and Use of Anadromous Fish in the Delaware Valley: Contributions from a Living Archaeology Experiment" please continue to the Living Archaeology page. Bill, his wife Christina, daughter Brianna and son Billy presently live in Mercerville, New Jersey.
